Strengths
After the setup tasks are completed, it is easy to use and its smaller dimensions mean it takes up less countertop space. The disposable sponges and oil absorber sheet keep the unit reasonably gunk-free and the three purging modes should minimize oil being expelled when you go to use your handpieces. It is also less expensive than the competition and fairly quiet. It can now accommodate four handpieces, which can be selected for individual care, whereas the original unit could only fit three.
Weaknesses
Still slower than the competition and the need to manually fill its lubricant reservoir must be done carefully or it could be very messy, especially when the bottle of lubricant is new and full. And while the low-oil light is helpful, an actual fuel gauge would still be preferred.

Definitely an improvement on the original version and less expensive than the competition.
