Lubricating a handpiece and then purging the excess lubricant is certainly not a difficult task, but for busy offices, especially with multiple operators, having a piece of equipment perform these tasks is a luxury that will make auxiliaries smile and can ensure that the process is done properly.

The equipment items in this category are designed to make these tasks more consistent, which can pay dividends in keeping handpieces working optimally longer. Indeed, at least one manufacturer of handpieces even provides a longer warranty on its handpieces when they are maintained with its matching lubrication machine.

However, some manufacturers of handpieces will void warranties if its handpieces are being lubricated in a machine from a competitor. Therefore, if you do choose to purchase one of these equipment items, be sure your handpieces will be covered by their warranties.

Note: These instruments require a compressed air line for their purging functions. If you do not have a compressed air outlet in your stericenter area, having a line installed needs to be added to the overall cost of the product.
