The newer versions of these products are actually being marketed as bulk-fills. So even though the main use of these dual-cured or self-cured materials has been to restore the bottom of the proximal box in a Class II prep, the newer, bulk-fill versions are being promoted to restore the entire Class I or II prep. While the track record of these dual-cured/self-cured products has been good and their utility has been established, the bulk-fill offerings have rejuvenated their use.
