Dr. Lynch graduated with distinction from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, in 1979. He was awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1983, a Post-Doctoral Hatton Travel Award by an International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Division, and the Greer Walker Prize for Research awarded by the British Postgraduate Medical Federation. Dr. Lynch is on the Scientific Board of the International Health Care Foundation and ISBOR, is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Prosthodontic Research, serves on the editorial board of numerous other journals and has been elected President of Research Groups in the IADR three times, and is a consultant for the ADA. He has been elected the most influential person in UK dentistry for 2010 and his students in QUB had honored him with being the Staff President of their Dental Society for four consecutive years. He lectures extensively in the UK and abroad and was Head of Dentistry in Warwick Dentistry at the prestigious University of Warwick in the UK. He is currently Professor and Principal Director of Biomedical and Clinical Research at UNLV in Las Vegas. He is also a specialist in 3 disciplines, Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry as well as being a BUPA Consultant in Oral Surgery. Dr. Lynch has approximately, 5300 citations for his research, which is extraordinary for a clinician.
