Sandesh M. Mayekar, M.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Mayekar received his Masters in Dental Surgery from University of Bombay in Bombay, India in 1980 and his M.S. in TMD and Orofacial Pain from Tufts University in Boston, MA in 2008. He introduced esthetic dentistry in India and lectures extensively nationally and internationally. Dr. Mayekar is the Director of the Indian Institute of Continuing Education & Research and the Founder President of the Indian Academy of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry. He is a past president of the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and has authored several articles on esthetic dentistry. Dr Mayekar is the founder of ENCODE, which holds postgraduate courses in esthetic dentistry in collaboration with SUNY at Buffalo, School of Dentistry and in General Dentistry with Tufts University in Boston. He is also a visiting faculty at Padmashree Dr. D Y Patil Dental College and Hospital Navi Mumbai. In addition, Dr. Mayekar is Adjunct Professor at the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and is Consultant/Advisor to the Armed Forces Medical Services of India. He maintains a private practice in Mumbai, India.
