M. Bilge Akbulut, DDS, PhD

Dr. Akbulut graduated from Selcuk University, Konya, Turkey, with a DDS in 2009, and she received her PhD degree from the Department of Endodontics of Selcuk University in 2014. She had a private practice limited to endodontics in Konya for a short period of time. Dr. Akbulut has held the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics at Necmettin Erbakan University, Konya, and has been a full-time faculty member, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and treating patients since 2015. She has held the position of Associate Professor since 2019.

Dr. Akbulut has conducted many research projects on calcium silicate-based materials, the biocompatibility of endodontic materials, laser-activated irrigation, antimicrobial properties of irrigation solutions, and intracanal medicaments, among other topics. She also co-authored the chapter entitled "Advanced Nanomaterials and Their Functionalization in Clinical Endodontics" (Springer).

In addition, she serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed dental journals. Since 2022, Dr. Akbulut has been the editor-in-chief of the Necmettin Erbakan University Dental Journal (NEU Dent J). She is currently an active member of the Turkish Endodontic Society, European Society of Endodontology (ESE), International Association for Dental Research (IADR), and Continental European Division of IADR (CED-IADR).
